Smart Goals

Is your mindset holding you back?

Are you feeling defeated before you even start?

Does the thought of the journey paralyze you?

If so, that’s okay!

We should be a little nervous & afraid when we face a new challenge, goal or opportunity because it’s the UNKNOWN! However, don’t let that initial fear paralyze you so much that you refuse to actively seek out your goals, dreams & aspirations.

I want to encourage you this year, before you set your 2021 goals start by:

1. Purchasing a journal or notebook

2. Understanding S.M.A.R.T Goals

By doing these steps first you’ll create a 2021 roadmap that clearly defines the steps necessary to achieve your goals, while using your journal to properly track, amend, adjust and pivot your when necessary.

So, do you keep a journal???

I hope you do! I’ve been journaling or writing in a diary since I was 6 years old. From sharing my every evolving emotion or jotting down the things I wanted to achieve journals have been a guiding light in my life.

When it comes to using your journal for goal setting it’s really simple:

Step One: Dedicate 1 journal to your goals.

Step Two: Jot down 3-5 goals for 2021 and STOP!

Step Three: Write each goal on separate pages within your journal. Dedicating 2-3 blank pages per goal.

Once you’ve done that, you’re ready to convert your basic goals into S.M.A.R.T Goals.

SETTING SMART GOALS

I won’t be rude and ask, “how smart are you?” but I will ask you, “how SMART are your goals?” I know it sounds funny but really what I am asking is, ARE YOU GOALS:

SPECIFIC

MEAUSRABLE

ATTAINABLE

RELEVANT

TIMELY

If you aren’t sure then make sure by using use my steps for defining, setting and achieving S.M.A.R.T goals.
