Potato, Potato

There's a huge misconception that white potatoes are more healthy than sweet potatoes, but I'm here to tell ya....IT'S NOT TRUE...

The obsession and "rules" around potatoes really started when folks became concerned with Glycemic Index and how each food increases blood sugar (aka helpful for diabetics). Although, a a low GI doesn't make a food healthier nor more nutritious. Example, watermelon has a higher GI than soda!

What really matters is

  1. Your Daily Calories/Macros

  2. Serving Size (suggested usually on labels)

  3. Portion Size (your personal preference)

Because honestly, both potatoes have similar calories, macros & although they contain different nutrients they are both packed with the good stuff especially we we bake and cook in a healthy way.
